Who we are

“@2:50 ten minute reflection” (@2:50) is a volunteer-hosted daily silent reflection online for ten minutes. Our website addresses are: https://at250.org and https://at250.mit.edu.

Participation acknowledgment

Webinar viewers (join by clicking the links on the home page) do not join by a camera. Viewers are identified by display name only in the list of webinar participants. Webinar viewers may be verbally thanked for participating by their first name or display name.

Webinar panelists join the primary host’s Zoom room and can turn on their camera and microphone. Panelists sign up in advance using the Google form on the website and acknowledge that their name, voice, and likeness may appear live to other panelists and webinar viewers on Zoom.

Viewers are encouraged to adjust their display names, and panelists adjust their camera preferences according to each participant’s privacy requirements.

What personal data do we collect, and why do we collect it?

We do not collect personal data on this website. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your first name and email address using professional mailing list software (Brevo). You can opt out of future emails in the footer of any communication. If you register to join the on-screen panel using the Google form embedded on this site, we collect your first name and email address. We use this information to add you as a panelist to the daily webinar and to email you about upcoming changes to events. If you are logged in to your Zoom account while joining @2:50, your display name and email are recorded in the host Zoom reports. These reports are not shared and are deleted per Zoom’s privacy policy. To prevent personal data from reaching @2:50 as a webinar guest (and not a panelist), simply log out of Zoom before joining the webinar.

Who do we share your data with?

We do not share data with anyone.

How long will we retain your data?

For participants that fill in the Google form on the website, we store your personal information securely in a dual authenticated document for as long as you wish to remain a participant to invite you to future @2:50 meetings. For those people who have shared their contact information in the past and have not chosen to participate, your data will be deleted after one year. For webinar participants not on the panel and who are logged in at the time of the webinar, Zoom reports your display name and email within meeting reports. We delete these meeting reports every 30 days. If you subscribe to our mailing list, we will keep you subscribed until you unsubscribe.

What rights do you have over your data?

If you have filled in the participation form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Generally, this would only include your first name and email address as entered on the panelist form. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.
